My blog is just my opinion? I never said otherwise.

Case studies is not the same as success stories. I think every Star McDougaller profiled by McDougall represents hundreds of other people not profiled, so by no means saying only thousands have been helped.

Although, 50 percent sounds like an amazing retention rate for any diet after one year, especially one that is so opposite the standard American diet. Would also be interesting to factor in what their diet was after they stopped doing Ornish, as far as whether it was as unhealthy as before, etc.

1000 of case studies is still a small percentage of the population! If you are talking about the population in the Castro district it would represent a larger percentage! Not everyone can eat a very low fat diet like yourself and one size does not fit all.

From Michael Dansinger, JAMA 2005 Apr 54 (4): 306 about Ornish:

50% of the pParticipants of the Ornish plan could not stick with it for greater than one year! I would hardly call that a successful diet and too extreme to maintain.

You know what they say about opinions (which this is) they are like assholes, everyone has one!

I don't have a website but am very interesting in this new technoogy at Safeway, called Foodflex. Do you think that this is a trend or just a new fad? We need to take responsibility of our health, and if the local grocery store is providing us with the necessary date to understand our nutrient and non-nutrient intake, we should take advantage of the service.Keep me posted on any other nutrition-related technology or trends.

Don't mean to get off-topic, but Jeff gave me the Veganomicon for Christmas, and the first thing I made from it - the jambalaya - was fantastic. (I quadrupled the cayenne, though.)

I think it has to do with the combination of things in my lemonade that lead to satiety. I'm just finishing day five and it's really not too... strange.

I tried not eating all day and only drinking lemon water lol, I lasted 1 meal. I was so hungry the time that my next meal came around I scarfed it down and more eliminating any fasting that might have occurred. I'm pathetic. How are you lasting? I'd be rushed to the ER in one day.
